MY GOAL: TO ACHIEVE THE FINER THINGS IN LIFE ON A COLLEGE GIRL’S BUDGET
Hi everyone! My name’s Lauren, better known as LJ, and this is my site. I began blogging in December of 2015, under the name “Once for Yes, Twice for No”. Beyond my wildest dreams, I outgrew that site and had to move to a bigger platform *jaw drops*. Yeah, I’m still in shock.
I’m a college student at Louisiana State University and heavily involved in Greek life here. I love everything about Baton Rouge, except the traffic. Being young I keep up with evolving trends and find a way to make them for a fraction of the cost. Just because it looks a million bucks, doesn’t mean you have to spend a million bucks!
Through various techniques and uses I, working along side y’all, work to create your imaginative dreams. I’ve never said no to a project, and I love helping friends who text me for DIY tips and tricks, so here’s how I get to share with all of you! Let’s collaborate to create something great, I know you’ve got it in you.
I’ve made various banners, taken art classes in school, and just have an overall passion and respect for the artistic world. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and through connecting with various genres of art, I respect each person’s beauty of art. It may not be my own, but it’s just as important to you and should be celebrated as so.
I do make Snapchat filters (upon request) for events, and I will say they’re pretty cool… I’m working on putting together a “look book” of the filters, so stay tuned for that. We all know Snapchat is the hot thing right now, and I don’t see that going anywhere. It’s a great way to celebrate any occasion, and our generation surely knows how to celebrate every day as a party.
07.14.17 Update: Filter “look book” almost complete! Be sure to check them out under the “services page” within the next week or so!
Being only 22, I’ve still got a lot to learn, but so far I love the journey this site has taken me on. I love challenges, collaborations and experiments – so please reach out if you have any kind of idea, I’d love to work with you! Not sure what exactly I do here? There’s a services page coming soon, but in the mean time you can see my DIY tutorials for inspiration, shop page for my Etsy shop, and subscribe to my site to see what else I get my hands dirty with.
Don’t be shy, let’s have a great time.
Lots of love,
